Aftermath Navigator COMING SOON

We are pleased to share that Aftermath Support is getting ready to launch Aftermath Navigator, a new digital support resource for anyone affected by road trauma.

The app has been developed in response to needs identified through our support work with people affected by serious and fatal road collisions, alongside feedback from those affected and student research carried out with the University of Manchester.

We know that the aftermath of a collision can be frightening and overwhelming. People may be dealing with trauma, grief, injury, anxiety, practical worries, or simply not knowing what to do next. We also know that people may need information and reassurance at different times, including outside of our usual service hours.

Aftermath Navigator has been created to bring practical guidance, emotional support tools and trusted information together in one accessible place. It will offer first-aid-style digital support for people affected by road trauma, helping them understand common reactions, manage difficult moments and take small, manageable steps.

The app is now being prepared for testing with people with lived experience, helping us make sure it is clear, accessible and meaningful before launch.

Aftermath Navigator will expand the way Aftermath Support offers help, making support more accessible to people affected by road trauma, including those who may not be receiving one-to-one support from our team.

Karen Blair, Chief Executive Officer of Aftermath Support, said:

“We are really excited to be reaching this stage with Aftermath Navigator. It has been developed from what we know people need after a serious or fatal road collision: clear information, compassionate reassurance and practical tools they can access when things feel overwhelming.

Our hope is that the app will help people feel less alone, more informed and better supported, while also strengthening the one-to-one support the Aftermath team already provides.”

We look forward to sharing more updates soon.
